The newest Rotary Club in Merced, California, Merced Sunrise was chartered by Rotary International in 1985, under the sponsorship of members of the Merced Rotary Club. Merced Sunrise Rotary exists within District 5220, and has thirty-five active members from many vocations.

Members meet weekly to carry out the goals and objectives of all Rotary clubs worldwide. Merced Sunrise Rotary is a vibrant club, with energetic members who enjoy working together to meet the needs of others.
