HPEC © After School Homework Tutorial
Vision: Striving for Excellence!
Mission: All students on the Honor roll!
Our philosophy is that children and youth receive supplemental education and new information in a principled, faith-based atmosphere...an environment where learning may be evoked and encouraged pragmatically.
All students come into the education process equipped physiologically and emotionally with a brain and a heart to learn. All teachers ought to recognize the gifts, talents, strengths, and knowledge levels that children bring into the learning processes.
The Student's learning experience shall be further Nurtured by caring educators, trainers, tutors, and volunteers, who will challenge their intellectual curiosity while training their "brain & heart muscles" to properly respond to academic learning challenges.
They will develop the tools and skills needed to master any subject, whether English Language Arts (ELA), Social Studies/Geography, Math/Science, Business & Technology, etc.
The students who attend HPEC© will be well prepared for the future. They will possess principle-based character qualities and stabilized socio-emotional behaviors, allowing them to respond to life's challenges.

Every day El Capitan High School students learn new skills and practice their craft in acting, set design, stage tech and stage directing/producing. As the value of teaching the arts continue to be questioned, we are fortunate to have a theatre program at our school and a supportive administration.
The Gaucho Guild is comprised of ECHS' theatre students who are pursuing the dramatic arts in high school, college and career. Some even have dreams of making it big on Broadway or in Hollywood, which I wholeheartedly encourage. At present we produce two shows a year at the El Capitan High School Theatre that are always open to the public.

4H is a youth program with more activities than you can imagine. 4-H has rural, suburban and urban kids that not only take part in the livestock area, but in foods and nutrition, dog care and training, sewing, arts and crafts, woodworking, and public speaking just to name a few.
In Merced County, grades 2-12+ are eligible to participate as Mini and regular 4-H member in clubs. 4-H members participate in events, contests, projects, exhibits, summer and winter camps, international programs, scholarships, and more. 4-H members can learn about leadership, learn new skills, and have the chance to participate in workshops, both county and state activities and more.
Many teens become leaders that help the younger and new 4-H members. There are special citizenship projects for Merced County, California, and Washington D.C. A positive attitude, the willingness to learn new projects, meet new people, and to do some type of community service and most of all have a big smile and have fun.
